Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday dedicated 10 motorbike ambulances with primary facilities to help patients during emergency situation. Addressing a gathering, Fadnavis said he wishes for the state to be healthy and safe. ” We want our State to be healthy and safe and we are committed to it,” said Fadnavis. The motorbikes are equipped with all primary facilities which are required before hospitalization. Ministers Dr Deepak Sawant and Vijay Deshmukh were also present at the inaugural ceremony.

Both Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray dedicated the Motorbike ambulance emergency services to all the Mumbaikars to help them during an urgent situation. The State has started 108 ambulance service which can save up to 17 lakh lives. CM said, ” We started 108 ambulance service in State and could save more than 17 lakh lives and 15,000+ deliveries were done.”

Due to traffic congestion, Mumbai has its roads clogged with vehicles which make it difficult for ambulances to move during an emergency. Therefore, Fadnavis said, these motorbike ambulances will be useful in peak hours of traffic. ”Motorbike ambulances will be useful in Mumbai during peak hours of traffic and in Melghat like regions where four wheeler ambulances can’t reach,” said Maharashtra CM. While addressing the crowd he also added that the health department is the only department to have filled up their vacant posts by 100%.
