Adnan Sami is one of the few Pakistani origin artiste who backed the Indian Army for the succesful surgical strikes across the LoC on terrorist launchpads. While the nation is hanging between a call ton whether or not to bar Pakistani artistes considering the huge protests after the Uri attacks. While stars like Fawad Khan with huge Indian fanbase were also not spared, many stood up for the cause of art including actor Salman Khan.
Sami, who originally was a Pakistani resident is now an Indian national and he took to twitter to show his support against terrorism by praising the Indian Army’s effort. Soon enough, he was criticised and labelled as ‘Gaddar’ (traitor) by Pakistani nationals.

Adnan had also clarified his stand quite calmly amongst the media later on by saying “If I see garbage flowing from my neighbour’s house and entering my house, I will complain against it to my neighbour”.
He went ahead to label Pakistan as a terrorist state by his second tweet.

He added that the tweet was straight from the heart and its not about where the strike took place but why it took place, referring to the bigger cause of terrorism.
This did not go down well with Pakistani citizens as he faced a huge backlash on social media but the man has now got his back from Indian Minister of State Kiren Rijiju. Rijiju said ‘Don’t worry. Whole of Indian fans love you.’

Rijiju took to Twitter to vote in Sami’s favour. He told Adnan not to get boggled down by the trolls as his tweet only reflects his true patriotic feelings towards India.
