Monsoons continue to drench Delhi, as the city recorded moderate to heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours . These showers are expected to continue over the Delhi- NCR region on Friday as well. The temperature is also expected to take a dip, making favourable condititons for the monsoon’s arrival. Widespread rains continued to pour down on Thursday across the Delhi-NCR region. Whereas, Noida has already started to rain and other places are expected to follow soon. The national capital’s weather has been affected by many monsoon bearing systems. A cyclonic circulation prevails over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and east Rajasthan. the circle of monsoons also runs through the northern plains with close proximity to the NCR. Adjunct to this a Western disturbance moves through and a new disturbance has been seen to follow this. Such interactions have resulted in rains pouring all over the city.

Besides this, the cyclonic circulation is more likely to move northwards, shifting its course closer to Delhi, resulting in moderate rainfall to continue across the capital with heavy spells in between. The situation is likely to remain similar for the next 48 hours. The consistent downpour has pulled the temperature down significantly, making way for pleasant weather conditions.

The maximum and minimum temperature have been settling under the average temperature with cool wind blowing through out the region. Humidity levels have come down a notch and moderate to heavy rains are to be expected.
