Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he is an apolitical PM and those close to him will agree, since apart from elections he never talks about politics.
In an exclusive interview to Times Now, when asked about his aspirations for the next elections, Narendra Modi said,” Elections should just be a bi-product. It is a democracy. Winning and losing is a part of it. It shouldn’t be hyped.”
He said that his sole focus is on governance. Governments can not be run only keeping polls in mind, instead it is about aspirations and dreams of the people.
“My focus is on governance. Country has been at greatest loss because governments were run only for elections.” Modi said.
He said he wants people to pay taxes before September 30, so that the money can be used for the upliftment of the poor. He said this in his ‘Mann ki baat’ speech too.
He said that he facilitated an early retirement of 30 income tax officers based on integrity issues, so this is a warning to everyone that the laws are strict and it is only to ensure more revenue which would go back to the benefit of the people themselves.
