This is the second cabinet expansion and reshuffle exercise by the NDA government since it came to power in 2014.

The 19 ministers that have been inducted into the Union Council of Ministers are: P P Chaudhary, Subhash Ramrao Bhamre, MJ Akbar, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Anil Madhav Dave, Ramesh Jigajinagi, Parshottam Rupala, Jasvantsinh Bhabhor, Mahendra Nath Pandey, Vijay Goel, Anupriya Patel, Mansukh Mandaviya,, Rajen Gohain, C R Chaudhary, Ajay Tamta, Ramdas Athawale and Krishna Raj.

One big takeaway from the Cabinet expansion and reshuffle is the elevation of Prakash Javadekar from MoS (Independent charge) to Cabinet minister.

Five ministers have been dropped from the Union Council of Ministers. These are Nihalchand, Ram Shankar Katheria, Sanwar Lal Jat, Manuskhbhai D Vasva and M K Kundariya.
