As soon as new ministers of the Modi Cabinet starting taking oath today, scores of twitter users took the opportunity to share their views on the reshuffle. While some of them congratulated the new members of the Cabinet and hoped they would fulfill their responsibilities, others were critical and some even took to humour to put their views forward.

Twitter user Ravindra Potphode adviced the new ministers to “look at” and work like Petroleum minister Piyush Goyal and Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj.
“New ministers should look at @piyushgoyal @sushmaswaraj @sureshpprabhu and work like them,” he tweeted.

User Lokesh Chahar said the Cabinet reshuffle marked a departure from the past. “This marks a firm departure from the usual routine of frequent changes based on caste, religion”,” he tweeted.

Taking a dig at the inclusion of Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra Ramdas Athawale in the Union Cabinet, twitter user Sardar Khan commented, “This is well balanced with Ramdas Athawale as entertainment minister.”

Another user Ashish said, “If Ramdas athavle kinds are becoming a Minister, life mein kuch bhi ho sakta hai.”

However, T Vivekanandann congratulated the inlusion of Athawale in the Cabinet. “Congratulations North India lion Mr @RamdasAthawale Jai Bheem Jai Bharat,” he tweeted.

Another user who goes by the name of Dude Baba tweeted, “#ModiCabinet Expansion has a healthy mix of merit, region & religion. Hope new council of ministers under PM Modi take India to a new height.”

User Bharat Jain questioned the inclusion of Vijay Goel in the Cabinet. “Why Vijay Goel? Just because he is a party loyalist? He is not deserving to be a Minister.”

Another user Neilima said, “Retaining Kalraj Mishra is just political calculation. Dropping Nihal Chand, good move.”

However, user Harish Inamdar wondered why no technocrat was included in the Cabinet. “Every Tom,Dick&Harry seems to be getting a place in the #ModiCabinet but not even one technocrat. #FutileExercise” he tweeted.

User Anurag Sharma from Kolkata congratulated the new Cabinet members saying, “Nice to see first time Loksabha Members in #ModiCabinet”
