Aam Aadmi Party was handed over a major blow ahead of the MCD elections in Delhi when MLA Ved Prakash Satish resigned to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. The Bawana MLA confirmed that he'll resign from the assembly and other government bodies by saying, "I am going to give my resignation letter to the Assembly Speaker AAP MLA Ved Prakash joins BJP, to resign from the assembly. I was feeling suffocated in the AAP. They (AAP) have failed to deliver on the promises which they had made during assembly elections. There are around 35 MLAs in the AAP who are not happy with the party leadership," he told the media. Ved Prakash Satish joined Aam Aadmi Party with an aim to run honest politics and won the election from the Bawana constituency. However, he wasn't satisfied with the working of AAP in Delhi under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal. Ved Prakash turned rebel by alleging that Aadmi Party has failed to deliver on the promises it had made in the run-up to the 2015 assembly elections. You may also want to watch: He also stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party is doing much better under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, "I was feeling suffocated in the AAP. They (AAP) have failed to deliver on the promises which they had made during assembly elections. There are around 35 MLAs in the AAP who are not happy with the party leadership." He added that other AAP leaders like Devinder Sehrawat, Pankaj Pushkar and former minister Sandeep Kumar are also not happy with the functioning of the party. Ved Prakash said that he'll hand over his resignation to the Assembly speaker. he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of BJP Delhi Chief Manoj Tiwari on Monday morning. Ved Prakash might play an important role for the Aam Aadmi Party in the upcoming MCD polls that are scheduled to take place on 23rd April.
