And amid the scenario depicting the crisis of jobs for the graduates and post graduates, at least 1.10 lakh candidates had applied for the ‘safai Karmachari’ post, competing for the 250 vacant position left at the AMC.
With applications flooding for the contractual jobs, the complete proces of appointment would approximately take at least 408 days, while sources close to the Municipal Corporation had hinted that the recruitment might get further delayed if there is a change in the government after the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, next year.
