Prime Minister speaking in 29th Mann Ki Baat said that spirit of inquiry was very important. He talked about social impact innovation competition jointly organised by Niti Aayog & MEA said Niti Ayog has mandated the scientific community to make socially useful innovations. For instance, an app has been made to help out the fishermen to enable them to see the direction of tides and others things related to their trade. He said, our life has become technology driven.
“We are moving towards digital economy and it is important to have apps that help the common man connect with digitalisation”‘, he said. He added that e-payments have become a movement and a lot of emphasis is being laid on DigiDhan. People are moving towards digital currency. Digital transactions are rising.
He said, let us teach people how to use the new apps launched by the government. Let us ensure BHIM reaches 125 crore people. It has been very successful in small town and amongst the common man. He said that he was delighted to learn that till now, under Lucky Grahak & Digi-Dhan Yojana, 10 lakh people have been rewarded.
The Prime Minister also spoke about Santosh from Mysore who was rewarded under the Lucky Grahak Yojana.He mentioned one Sabir from Delhi who adopted digital transactions and won prize of one lakh rupees. He said, ” Ï urge the countrymen especially youth of our country and those who have won prizes, to become ambassadors of these.
