Imam of Kolkata’s Tipu Sultan Mosque has issued a fatwa against the West Bengal BJP state president Dilip Ghosh for his drag by hair remarks against Mamata Banerjee. Ghosh, in derogatory remarks against West Bengal CM, had said that she could have been pulled and dragged by ‘his police'(Delhi Police) had the party wanted to do so.
He further said that she is crying after losing thousands of crores of rupees because of demonetisation. He added, “…we had thought that she will ultimately jump in the Ganges… this person (Banerjee) has lost her mind and we are not ready to see her insanity… the state’s people have realised their mistake of bringing in the change in West Bengal.”

Dilip’s derogatory remark against Mamata drew a quick reaction from opposition. Senior TMC leader Derek O’Brien said that politics has touched a new low and this is third class politics. He said that these threats are dangerous and personal. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal too reacted to Dilip Ghosh’s comment and through his Twitter handle highlighted that Dilip Ghosh was claiming that Delhi Police is controlled by BJP.
