In yet another setback for actor Dileep, a court in Angamaly has rejected the actor’s bail application again in connection with the case pertaining to the attack on a Malayalam actress in February 2017. The actor had moved the Kerala High Court twice but had received no relief with regard to the bail application. In this fourth bail application, the actor had submitted before the court that he should be allowed bail as the only charge against him is pertaining to conspiracy. He also pointed out the remand had lasted more than 60 days and that the police investigation is now over.
According to the latest news reports, Dileep’s wife Kavya Madhavan’s role is being investigated by the police though she has not been named as an accused yet. Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the Malayalam actress attack case, had named Kavya Madhavan as ”Madam” and also revealed that he had been paid Rs 25,000 as advance by Dileep’s close friend – mimicry artist turned director Nadir Shah.
However, when Nadir Shah was taken for questioning at the Aluva Police Club on Friday, his BP shot up and a team of medical doctors had been rushed to the spot, following which the interrogation was postponed to another date.
Both Kavya Madhavan and Nadir Shah have repeatedly stated that they do not know the prime accused in the case – Pulsar Suni. They have stated that they do not know Pulsar Suni at all and that his statements are false.
Meanwhile, the Kerala High Court will consider popular Malayalam actress Kavya Madhavan’s anticipatory bail plea today. She is Dileep’s wife and has been named as the ”Madam” by Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the Malayalam actress attack case. In her petition, Kavya has stated that the probe by the police is ‘biased, partisan and ill-motivated.’ She further stated that officers who are investigating the case are making serious threats to put pressure on and she has reiterated that her husband Dileep does not know Pulsar Suni and has never interacted with him.
