Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today presented a Ganesha idol to Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev during the ongoing International Industrial Exhibition ‘Innoprom’ in Ekaterinburg.

Fadnavis is currently on an official visit to Russia.

At the Maharashtra pavilion at Innoprom, Fadnavis apprised Medvedev of investment opportunities in Maharashtra, an official said. The CM presented the Prime Minister a Ganesh idol, he added.

“Very happy to meet and interact with Hon Prime Minister of Russia @MedvedevRussiaE on the sidelines #Innoprom2016,” Fadnavis later tweeted.

The CM also met Viktor N Kladov, Director of International Cooperation and Regional Policy, Rostec.

Rostec is Russia’s State Corporation for promotion development, production and export of hi-tech products for civil and defence sector.
