Madras High Court on Monday directed the arrest of a 32-year-old man who claimed to be the son of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The man, identified as J Krishnamurthy, was earlier warned by court that he would face arrest should the documents he presented are found to be fake. Krishnamurthy, in his plea, claimed to be the son of Jayalalithaa and late Telugu actor Shoban Babu.\u00a0 Krishnamurthy claimed that the couple gave his custody to a woman Vasanthamani, whom Jayalalithaa had met during a film shoot, in Erode in 1986. The man even\u00a0 provided a of an adoption document, which he claims had been signed with Jayalalithaa's mentor MG Ramachandran as a witness. "You attached a photo available in the public domain. Do you think anyone can just walk in and initiate PIL proceedings," the judge had said. "Don't play with the court," Justice Mahadevan cautioned the petitioner and directed the additional public prosecutor to verify the documents. He said that the chief minister had even planned to declare him her heir in September. The man also said that VK Sasikala was aware if Jaya's plans and she even had opposed to it. The man had also demanded security, claiming threats to his life.\u00a0 Activist Traffic Ramaswamy, who had filed the plea on behalf of Krishnamurthy, said, "The truth must come out. I have no problem if the court takes action against Krishnamurthy if the documents are found false."
