According to the latest development in the Lucknow shootout row, the central government has turned cold towards the statements that were earlier released by the Uttar Pradesh police about the terror attack in the capital city. Sources say, “UP police hampered probe, ” cops jumped the gun at ISIS module. The central government is reportedly upset at the running commentary of the local police during the probe, according to India Today reports. A few hours earlier, ADG Daljit Chaudhary said, “We have no such evidence yet of any ISIS link.”

On March 7, a terror activity shook the city of Lucknow at the time when the UP Elections are on the brink of closing in on the assembly polls. Terror suspects had sneaked into the Thakurganj locality in Lucknow yesterday. With the security forces, including the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) men surrounding the area, a tense stand-off was on for more than two hours. Earlier in the day, a mysterious bomb blast took place in Malda’s Paharpur village, West Bengal near the National Highway 81. While one was killed, two were injured in the blast. More than 100 crude bombs have been recovered yesterday from a house in Malda, West Bengal.
