Lucknow schools stabbing case: The girl who has been accused of attacking a class 1 student with a sharp-edged weapon in the toilet, has on Monday said that she is being framed. As per the report by DNA, the girl pleaded that she was being ‘framed’ to save ‘someone’ and demanded a fair probe by the CBI or any other independent agency into the case. While talking to the media the girl claimed that she is innocent and is being framed in the case by the school management. “There had been some arguments between some teachers, my father and me. I suspect that is a reason I am being framed,” the girl said.
In the wake of the investigation going on in the Brightland School case, the girl finally broke her silence a week after the shocking stabbing incident. She also accused that she had never met the victim and he was not known to her before the incident. She said, “The child & I never faced each other. A photo of mine was produced before him. I was told by the school mgmt that he has identified me. I have been with short hair since November but they say he identified me in my old pictures.” She further said, “I want the case to be investigated thoroughly & the real culprit be punished. If I am innocent I must be allowed to walk free. I know I am innocent.”
On January 16, a class 1 student was injured when he was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon in the toilet of a private school in Lucknow, an incident similar to the killing of a Ryan school student in Gurugram. The accused girl student was arrested on last Wednesday and produced before the Juvenile Justice Board. She was granted interim bail till January 30. The case would be heard by the Juvenile Justice Board on January 30. As per the report, the police will have to produce some eye-witnesses, CCTV footage, kitchen knife, forensic reports, etc to prove the charge against. As of now, except for boy’s recorded statement, the police are yet to get concrete proof.
In the wake of the incident, more measures are being taken up by schools to ensure the safety of the children. The Lucknow district administration has decided to run a special campaign to verify the security parameters of schools.
