Ranchi Rajdhani express derailment LIVE Updates: The Ranchi New Delhi Rajdhani train has derailed near Delhi’s Shivaji Bridge bridge. According to news agency ANI, the engine and power car of the express train had derailed. However, no injuries have been reported till now. The incident took place around 11:45 AM. Earlier in the morning, yet another train had derailed in Uttar Pradesh. While talking about the incident the Northern Railway spokesperson said, “Engine, power coach of Delhi-Ranchi Rajdhani Express derail near Minto Bridge in New Delhi; no fatalities.” Earlier in the day, seven coaches of the Howrah-Jabalpur Shaktipunj Express derailed near Obra in Sonbhadra district of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Railway ministry spokesperson Anil Saxena while talking about the incident told PTI, “The accident occurred at around 6:25 am and we have already cleared out the site.” He added, “All passengers were put on the remaining coaches and by 7:28 AM all of them had left the spot. All of them are safe and no one was injured in the accident.”

6: 20 PM: The injured man, identified as Imam Hussain, was taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital in Daryaganj, Sharma added.

4: 59 PM: The report comes just hours after seven coaches of the Jabalpur-bound Shaktipunj Express derailed near Obra Dam station in the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh.
4: 45 PM: As per the report by PTI, Fatehgarh Superintendent of Police Dayanand Mishra said the matter is being probed.

4: 12 PM: Meanwhile, earlier in the today, a train accident was averted as a fracture in the track was detected between Farrukhabad and Fatehgarh, minutes before the Kalindi Express was scheduled to pass, officials said.

2: 24 PM: Neeraj Sharma, the Northern Railways spokesperson was by PTI as saying, “The engine and power car are affected. Since the speed”of the (Ranchi-Delhi Rajdhani Express) train was very low, there was no injury to any passenger.”
