Lt Governor of Puducherry Lt General (retired) A K Singh paid homage at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi here on his 68th death anniversary today.

Lt Governor of Puducherry Lt General (retired) A K Singh paid homage at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi here on his 68th death anniversary today.

Chief Minister N Rangasamy,Speaker V Sabapathy,Ministers, legislators, officials and freedom fighters were among those who paid homage at the statue.

Teachers of Jawahar Bal Bhavan (a cultural centre run by Puducherry government) presented patriotic songs on the occasion.

Silence was observed for a couple of minutes by all those present at the venue.

PCC leader A Namassivayam MLA accompanied by office bearers of the committee,AICC General Secretary V Narayanasamy paid homage at the portrait of the Mahatma on the premises of the PCC office.
