Learn from Fadnavis
Apropos of the recent edit ‘Mumbai First’, kudos to Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis for having the vision for urban development as is demonstrated by the master plan for Mumbai under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Development Corridor. More chief ministers need to look at his master-plan and initiate similar urban development exercises in their states, starting with their capital cities. Not every city may develop as an industrial centre, but there are opportunities galore. Look at Gurgaon. The Millennium City would benefit vastly from revamped urban planning, removing the shortcomings like the lack of a sewerage system. Similarly, in the south, Hyderabad could be developed both as an educational-IT hub and for the film industry. In the east, there is potential in Kolkata as well as the need for urban development.

Google must reinvent Glass
Apropos of the edit ‘No broken glass’ (February 10), it is indeed too early to write off Google Glass. The company has said that it will be bringing out only the perfected version. This means Google is cognisant of the flaws in the product. One of the things that the tech giant needs to look at is to find ways to bring costs down so that it is within an accessible price range for the larger public.
