Latur ZP Election Results LIVE Updates: In Maharashtra’s current election season, the District Council elections marked the final phase of local body polls. After a gap of 8 years, the elections were held in January across the state. Notably, the earlier two elections showed completely contrasting results in several places compared to the existing political alliances and coalitions in the state.

Against this backdrop, the District Council elections also witnessed many instances where alliance partners in the state contested against each other. The Latur District Council election was no exception to this trend.

According to the schedule announced by the State Election Commission, elections are being conducted this year for only 12 district councils out of Maharashtra’s 34 district councils. along with a total of 125 Panchayat Samitis. In these elections, the ruling Mahayuti alliance—comprising the BJP, the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, and the Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party—was seen contesting together in some areas and against each other in others. A similar situation was observed among the opposition parties as well.
