Addressing BJP Hatao Desh Bachao rally in Bihar, Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday said that Opposition parties will throw away the ‘fascist and opportunist’ government from New Delhi. The RJD supremo lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and called him a man of double standards. Lalu said that Nitish betrayed the people of Bihar by breaking ties with RJD and Congress. The RJD supremo added that Nitish was afraid of Tejashwi Yadav’s rising popularity in Bihar government. “Ye Nitish dar gya Tejashwi se… aur chala gya Dilli, (Nitish Kumar got afraid of Tejashwi’s rising popularity, and went to Delhi)” Lalu Yadav said. Yadav said that even after getting more seats, RJD made Nitish Kumar as the CM of Bihar. “Even after getting more seats we made Nitish Kumar the CM of Bihar. He betrayed all,” Lalu Prasad Yadav said.
Lalu said that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, not only targeted him, but his family members as well. “Bhai Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.. hamare parivaar bhi.. hamari beti Misa par… jo shadi shuda hai.. (Narendra Modi and Amit Shah attacked my family, my daughter Misa Bharti, who is married),” Lalu Yadav said.
Earlier, speaking at the rally, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tej Pratap Yadav attacked RSS and said that its chief Mohan Bhagwat “wears half pants because he has half mind”. Tej Pratap, a former Bihar minister, warned BJP and RSS against perpetrating any kind of communal violence in the state. He said, “Mohan Bhagwat, aren’t you ashamed you wear half pants despite your old age.” Tej Pratap added that his men from Dharma Nirpeksh Sevak Sangh (DSS) had chased away RSS in an earlier instance.
