Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav while addressing the media today after the swearing in of JDU supremo as Bihar Chief Minister again said that the country knows the state is a politically conscious one and people are angry at what has happened over the last 24 hours. Invoking Mahatma Gandhi and saying that he had united the people of India against British rule, Lalu said that it is regrettable there is no Gandhiji among us to unite this country. He then said that Amit Shah and Modi are from the larger family (khandan) of Godse, the one who killed the Mahatma. He then added that the RSS killed him. Talking about Narendra Modi he said PM made false promise of ‘achhe din’ and of providing employment to the masses. Citing his past cases, the RJD chief said,” Past 15-20 yrs I have been fighting cases in courts. I was sentenced in a hurry. There was a conspiracy between Nitish Kumar and BJP.”
Lalu went on to talk about nominating Nitish Kumar as the candidate for the post of Bihar CM and said,”I put a tika on his forehead, said go rule the state, I had no greed in my heart, else why would I nominate him as Chief Minister.” He added that portraying a false image of himself, Nitish thought hiself to be PM material. If I wanted I would have not made him the CM. He just had 71 MLAs.” Ctiting the present political development Lalu said it was a fixed match. “I never troubled Nitish,” he said and added,”On many occasions, Nitish met PM Modi, had lunch. The timing of whatever happened was already fixed.” Calling the Bihar CM as demon Bhasmasur, RJD chief said,” Hum boley Shankar bhagwan ki tarah jao, raaj karo, par yeh toh Bhasmasur nikla.” Accussing the media he said,”Some media who we had thought were good, they took supari. See how the US media is fighting Trump, here media fights opposition.”
