Rebel leader and a poet-turned-politician Kumar Vishwas attacked AAP’s Delhi convenor Gopal Rai in a filmy manner. The rebel leader picked characters from the blockbuster Bahubaali 2: The Conclusion to slam Rai. Comparing Rai with the popular movie’s character Kattappa, Vishwas said that: “Is Mahishmati ki Sivagami Devi koi aur hai lekin har roz yahan naye Kattappa paida ho jaatey hain (Someone else is the Sivagami Devi of this Mahishmati kingdom but every day, new Kattappas (stabbers) are born here,”DNA quoted him as saying. Responding to Rai’s accusations, Vishwas said that the leader has woken up from a deep slumber and is thus accusing the rebel leader of the loss in municipal polls in Delhi.
This statement from Vishwas came a day after Gopal Rai had alleged that the rebel leader was the centre of conspiracy behind the attempts to bring down the Kejriwal government. He had also attacked Vishwas for his video on corruption in the government. He had said that the reason behind the video was to scuttle AAP’s chances in the Municipal polls. Notably, the party had lost the elections to BJP. AAP’s Delhi convenor had also said that how can a person who attacks the party at every possible platform be sent to Rajya Sabha. However, Vishwas had maintained his stand and had said that he was punished for speaking the truth referring to why he was not selected as a Rajya Sabha candidate. Making an indirect reference to Rai, he had said that he should enjoy the company of Guptas from BJP and Congress and should not meddle in his affairs.
“Mera unse anurodh hai ki naye-naye Congress aur BJP se aaye hue jo Guptas hain, unke yogdaan ka kuch din anand lain, mere shav ke saath ched-chad na karen.” Maintaining his stand, the rebel leader had tweeted, “The voice of this video was, is and will remain on top for me, despite the cost I had to pay recently. I will never compromise on any stand in this video, even if more sacrifices are needed in future, because it’s not just me, it’s We, The Nation!” A fresh controversy had erupted between the rebel leader and AAP government after Vishwas was not picked for the Rajya Sabha, since then, both the leaders are vilifying each other.
