Veteran actor and Producer Rakesh Roshan, who had moved to Uttarakhand High Court seeking the quashing of a plagiarism FIR had to face disappointment. The Court rejected Roshan’s writ petition filed by his lawyer Aman Rab.
A Dehradun based author, Roop Narayan Sonkar had filed an FIR claiming that the script of Krrish 3 produced under Rakesh Roshan’s banner has been plagiarised from one of his original works.
The Producer however refuted all these claims as ‘baseless’. He had moved to the Court seeking the quashing of the FIR but his plea has been rejected.
The High Court said that no arrest will happen for Rakesh Roshan till the next hearing for the case, that is on September 19. The family including the filmmaker have maintained silence on the issue, quoting the jurisdiction process it is in.
Before Krrish 3, Roshan was also accused by a model-turned actor for plagiarizing his work for their upcoming movie, ‘Kabil’ starring Hrithik and Yami Gautam.
Krrish 3, that starred Hrithik Roshan and alleged ex-flame Kangana Ranaut was released in November 2013 and had went on to become one of the highest earning blockbusters of the year.
