After the popular comedian Kapil Sharma took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging bribery by BMC officials, politics has erupted over the issue. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has said that the BMC is a den of corruption. Taking a shot at Shiv Sena, Somaiya said that one has to bribe godfather to get the work done. Kapil tweeted by tagging PM Modi and questioning about the 'acche din and related it to the alleged bribe he was asked to pay to BMC to the construction of his office. Somaiya had also tweeted, "It pains to here experience of #KapilSharma to Slum Dwellers of Bribe @ Mumbai MunicipalCorporation V shall Free BMC from Rule of ScamMafias." While Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis asked Kapil Sharma for details, even Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), which is the richest civic body in India, quickly responded to Sharma\u2019s allegations. According to reports, Mumbai police has decided to summon Kapil Sharma to question him over his bribery allegations against the municipal body. On September 9, Kapil Sharma took to the twitter and claimed that he was asked to pay a bribe of Rs 5 lakh to construct his new office.
