Kapil Sharma has reportedly received a death threat via email originating from Pakistan, according to the police. He joins other celebrities like Rajpal Yadav, Sugandha Mishra, and Remo D’Souza, who have recently been targeted with similar threats, according to the sources.
An FIR has been filed with the Amboli Police against an unidentified individual under Section 351(3) of the BNS Act, and an investigation is currently underway.
The email, allegedly sent from Pakistan, stated: “We are monitoring your recent activities and believe it is important to bring a sensitive matter to your attention. This is not a publicity stunt or an attempt to harass you; we urge you to treat this message with utmost seriousness and confidentiality.” The message was signed off with the name “BISHNU,” as per sources.
According to the police, the sender demanded a reply from the celebrities within eight hours, warning of severe personal and professional consequences if their demands were not met.
