Kapil Sharma slams BMC’s ‘bribe’ demand, questions PM Modi’s ‘achhe din’; Devendra Fadnavis promises strict action

India's funny man Kapil Sharma today questioned PM Narendra Modi's 'achhe din' claim by a tweet early morning. Kapil, in an angry tweet tagged the PM questioning the bribery he has been asked to offer for the construction of his new workplace.

India’s funny man Kapil Sharma today questioned PM Narendra Modi’s ‘achhe din’ claim in a tweet  sent out early morning. Kapil, in an angry tweet tagged the PM questioning the ‘ bribe’ he has been asked to pay for the construction of his new workplace. In his tweet, Kapil said that he has regularly been paying around Rs 15 crore income tax every year, yet he needs tos pay a Rs 5 lakh bribe to the BMC office to build his office. BMC is Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the Municipal corporation of Greater Mumbai.

Soon after Kapil Sharma’s tweet, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis stepped in and promised swift action. “Kapilbhai pls provide all info. Have directed MC,BMC to take strictest action. We will not spare the culprit. @KapilSharmaK9 @narendramodi,” Fadnavis tweeted.

Previously, the Comedian had always stood in support of PM’s initiatives like the Swachh Bharat but this lashing came as a shocker. An official statement has came from the BMC Chief Vigilance Officer seeking more details from Kapil on the same and an assurance of investigation has been promised.

Kapil, who has become one of the most famous and well paid comedians in India in the recent years is presently seen in the new comedy show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
