Sacked AAP Minister Kapil Mishra's mother has written an open letter to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Sacked AAP Minister Kapil Mishra’s mother has written an open letter to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In the letter she had alleged that confidants of the AAP national convener have been spreading fake photos’ on social media. Mishra shared the letter on Twitter this morning. Hitting out at AAP leaders for terming Mishra ‘BJP’s agent’, she wondered why CM Kejriwal is ‘silent’ on the issue.
Earlier on March 9, the AAP legislator had written an open letter to his former “guru” Kejriwal to seek his blessings before filing the complaint against him. He also had dared Kejriwal to fight an election against him from a seat of his choice. The former minister had submitted documents to the ACB to back his allegations that Kejriwal had delayed a probe into a Rs 400-crore tanker scam in the city, a PTI stated.

Meanwhile, The Anti-Corruption Branch yesterday had recorded the statement of Mishra over his allegations that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had influenced the probe into a Rs 400 crore tanker scam. Mishra arrived at the ACB office at 12 pm to record his statement and spent around one-and-a-half hours there. He left for his residence around 1.30 pm, PTI reported.
“I gave them all the information I had and got my statement recorded. I will again go the ACB office on Monday,” he told reporters.

Mishra, who is on a hunger strike demanding details of foreign trips by five prominent AAP leaders, had visited the ACB office a few days ago and shared evidence related to the tanker scam that dates back to Sheila Dikshit’s tenure as chief minister.

Mishra has alleged that the investigation into the tanker scam was repeatedly delayed and influenced by Kejriwal and “his two men”.
Last year in August, Dikshit was examined by the ACB officials in connection with her alleged involvement in the tanker scam and was also handed over a set of 18 written questions.
Till some time back, Mishra had been accusing the BJP of shielding Dikshit in the case and later he alleged that the AAP government tried to shield her.
The Kejriwal-led AAP government had in June 2015 constituted a fact-finding committee to go into the alleged irregularities in procurement of some 385 stainless steel water tankers by the DJB.
The Delhi government in June 2016 sent a report of the fact-finding committee to the then Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung following which an FIR was registered in case.
