Former Delhi water minister Kapil Mishra who is on a hunger strike has once again attacked the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal by questioning his silence about the allegations. While talking to media on Thursday afternoon, Mishra said Kejriwal is silent because he has a lot to hide and warned the AAP chief that there will be no easy way out for him in this row by saying that, ‘I’m smarter than him’, reported TV channel CNN News 18. Mishra’s comments came after he recorded the statement with Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) over his allegations that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had influenced the probe into an alleged Rs 400 crore tanker scam.
According to the news agency PTI, Mishra arrived at the ACB office at noon to record his statement. A few days ago, he had visited the ACB office to share the evidence related to the tanker scam that dates back to Sheila Dikshit’s tenure as chief minister, reported the agency. Yesterday, Kapil Mishra was attacked by an unknown person outside his residence where he was protesting. Reacting to the incident, he wrote a letter to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that the attacker, Ankit Bharadwaj, was attached with the mohalla clinics project under Health Minister Satyendar Jain, reported PTI.

In his letter, Mishra asked Kejriwal was the entire ‘attack’ episode scripted like ‘past attacks on you’.He added, “The way Facebook photos were shared and statements were made, it reminded me that the same used to happen whenever there were attacks on you in the past. Is it an old trick? Even before the police could take him away, (AAP leader) Sanjay Singh made a statement declaring him to be a BJP worker. It was almost as if the party was waiting.”
Mishra sparked a controversy on Sunday when he said he’d seen Kejriwal “accept Rs 2 crore in cash” from Jain. “If I would have done something wrong, I would have observed everything from the hiding, like you. People around you guards, drivers are revealing the truth. Government officials are sending information to me,” Mishra claimed.
