In an announcement made by the BJP, Gujarat Pradesh Pramukh and BJP MLA Jitu Vaghani has been appointed as the BJP State President for Gujarat
In an announcement made by the Bhartiya Janata Party, BJP MLA in Gujarat, Jitu Vaghani has been appointed as the BJP State President for Gujarat. The move comes days after Gujarat welcomed its 16th Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in the presence of BJP leaders. Anandiben Patel had rendered her resignation earlier after the ongoing allegations of not being able to handle the patel agitation in Gujarat. The MLA recently wished BJP primer Amit Shah for completing two years as the National President in the party on Twitter.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani took charge of major departments like general administration, home, Information and Broadcast etc while Deputy CM Nitin Patel took over the Finance Department that was previously held by Saurabh Patel. The former Chief Minister had earlier announced her resignation with a Facebook post. She had requested the BJP leaders to exempt her from the position of Chief Minister. She wrote, “enough time to the new incumbent to prepare for important events like the Vibrant Gujarat summit.”
