With the Delhi Police investigating Aam Aadmi Party leader Jitender Singh Tomar in the fake degree case, the city’s former law minister had ink and eggs thrown on him by students after he was brought to Bihar’s Bhagalpur University.
“Bhagalpur University is a very renowned university. This is a very shameful incident for the university. This is a way to protest. Arvind Kejriwal should be ashamed of himself for making him the law minister. Students have done the right thing by throwing eggs and ink,” said Rinki Ayesha, a protestor.
Embroiled in the fake degree row, media reports say that Tomar may be expelled from the AAP.
Tomar had on Tuesday been sent to four-day’s police custody a day after being arrested by the Delhi Police.
Tomar is facing allegations of submitting forged education certificates while filing his nomination for the Delhi Assembly polls.
