The ongoing tussle between Janata Dal United and Rashtriya Janata Dal which converted into a war of words after CBI raids were conducted on various locations linked to Lalu Yadav is escalating every day. In the latest development, JDU leader Ajay Alok has threatened Lalu Yadav by saying that Nitish Kumar's image is more important to the party than staying in power and it will just take 5 minutes for it to break the grand alliance. Alok's comments came during an interview with India Today on Friday morning. "Nitish is the leader of Mahagathbandhan, no one else. Those who are threatening of having 80 MLAs with them should not be in any kind of confusion. It will not take us even 5 minutes to quit government, power," JD(U) spokesperson Ajay Alok told the channel. "Nitish Kumar has had an impeccable track record. They should not put the future of Mahagathbandhan into danger by giving such statements but rather come out with answers on charges that have been levelled (on Tejashwi Yadav)," he added. Even though Alok added that power is important JD (U), he said that the party is not completely happy with Tejashwi Yadav's response to the allegations of corruption. "Power is least important for us," he said adding that the paryu was not satisfied with Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav's response over allegations of corruption. Lalu Yadav's son Tejashwi has been named by the CBI in a disproportionate assets case. When Bihar deputy chief minister was scheduled to address the media, his security personnel had allegedly manhandled the reporters in Patna. "There are misleading information about attack on media persons, on request of them I patiently waited abt 5-7 mins so that they stop meddling with each other out of competition, however that was in vein. I totally understand know how difficult is their job, specially the cameramen," Yadav had said while explaining the incident.
