31 days and over 50 deaths took to disturb the CM, says Omar Abdullah on Mehbooba’s Delhi visit

Reacting on the visit of Mehbooba Mufti to Delhi, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday tweeted that it took 31 days and more than 50 deaths to finally "disturb" the Chief Minister.

After a prolonged unrest in the Valley due to the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is set to meet Home Minister Rajanth Singh in Delhi today. Reacting on this former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday tweeted that it took 31 days and more than 50 deaths to finally “disturb” the Chief Minister (Mehbooba Mufti).

While attacking Mufti, Abdullah added that she had finally given up on her “business as usual” act and rushed to Delhi instead.

Soon after the killing of Wani in an encounter on July 8, Kashmir has been witnessing protests and deaths on a daily basis. The Valley saw as many as 55 persons including two police personnel being killed and several thousand others injured in the violent protests. On the other hand, the normal life continues to be handicapped as curfew continues for the 30th day in Kashmir.
