With tensions raising along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, the Indian Army today said that they had destroyed four Pakistan posts in the Keran sector along the LoC. Heavy casualties are inficted in the massive assault.
Earlier in the day, Indian soldier sepoy Mandeep Singh was killed and his body was mutiliated by terrorists in an encounter in Machhil sector of Kupwara district, near LoC in Jammu and Kashmir. Paying tribute to the soldier the Army has warned of ‘effectively and military-like’ to Pakistan post the attack.
In another attack, BSF jawan Constable Koli Nitin Subhash was hit in an attack from Pakistan in Manchil sector of the valley. The jawan succumbed to his injuries in the morning.
Heavy sheeling and firing at military bases were reported on Saturday morning. Since October 21, four BSF jawans and two Army soldiers have died in clashes and ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the IB and LoC in Kashmir.
