The Indian Air Force (IAF) is celebrating its 85th anniversary on Sunday, on October 8. The IAF is celebrating Air Force Day at Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is currently in Gujarat for a two-day visit, extended his greetings to the Air Force and sent his best wishes to the air warriors and their families on the occasion. PM took to Twitter and wrote: “On Air Force Day, best wishes to our courageous air warriors and their families. Their determination and prowess ensure that our skies are safe.”

President Ram Nath Kovind too greeted India’s air warriors on the occasion. he saluted the commitment of Air Force and said, “On Air Force Day, I salute the valour, commitment & dedication of our brave air warriors.
