India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy final: The stage set is all set for the big game as India is set to take on Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy final on Sunday in Edgbaston, Birmingham. On paper, there is a huge difference between the two sides in terms of quality. Virat Kohli’s team looks far more balanced, experienced and even has the past experience of playing in the big finals. On the other end, Pakistan has proved the critics wrong and entered the final against all odds. Sarfraz Ahmed would be confident about his team’s chances and would be looking forward to a spirited performance. In the past, big names have stepped up for India and won the finals for it but can someone do it again? Here are 5 players who can turn the game in India’s favour:
1. Virat Kohli
After a disappointing Indian Premier League, the Indian skipper found his golden touch in the ICC Champions Trophy. He started the tournament on a positive note by smashing a half-century against Pakistan in the very first game and did the same in the semi-final against Bangladesh. The Indian captain will be the man to watch out for in the final too.
2. Shikhar Dhawan
There was a huge question make over Shikhar Dhawan’s place in the squad before the tournament started and he has silenced his critics in style. Dhawan is currently the leading run-scorer of the tournament and has been instrumental in providing India with quick starts. The man-in-form automatically becomes an important player in the big final.

3. MS Dhoni
It was an otherwise quiet tournament for Mahendra Singh Dhoni except for a half-century but comes the big final and Dhoni always steps up. Fans are yet to forget his six from the 2011 ODI World Cup and would be hoping for similar scenes on Sunday.
4. Hardik Pandya
Pandya proved expensive in India’s last match against Bangladesh and some experts have also suggested to drop him in favour of an extra fast bowler. However, Pandya has shown in the past that he can turn the match in a just few deliveries, both with the bat as well as with the ball. Pakistan players would have not forgotten his three monstrous sixes against them earlier in the tournament.
5. Jasprit Bumrah
Bumrah has emerged as the leader of Indian bowling attack at such a young age. He is quick, swings the ball and bowls the Yorkers with incredible accuracy. He has been superb in this tournament so far and will once again hold the key in the final.
