Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has claimed that India does not want to see Pakistan prosper, and pointed to new Delhi’s objections over the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project as proof of the same.

The Dawn quoted Khan, as saying that New Delhi’s reaction had exposed India’s ‘real face’ before the world, adding that it finds Pakistan’s progress and development ‘unacceptable’ and would use any means to keep the neighbour ‘backward and underdeveloped’.

The minister further said India should focus on ameliorating the plight of its own citizens.
