“I didn’t tweet my hands did”, she wrote in response to Randeep Hooda’s justification that he should have been careful about his tweet.
Gurmehar Kaur is back and with a bang! Remember her Facebook video in which she said that ‘Pakistan didn’t kill my father, the war did’. And who would forget Virender Sehwag’s reply to it ‘I didn’t score two triple centuries, my bat did’. Even Randeep Hooda got embroiled in the issue when he agreed with the cricketer. Hooda recently took to Facebook to justify his act of lauding Sehwag’s tweet, it is his recent statement that has got people talking, with Kaur herself responding on Twitter to his explanation. “I didn’t tweet my hands did”, she wrote in response to Hooda’s justification that he should have been careful about his tweet.
“(Calling Gurmehar a political pawn) It wasn’t gender specific. I was and I am against the politicisation of personal opinions. There was an axe to grind and considering the environment in the country vis-a-vis women, in hindsight, I do believe I should have been more careful. As an actor I have faced this (trolling) before and will have to face it in future too but for a young individual, to face this would be very traumatic and she shouldn’t have gone through this,” Hooda told Indian Express.
After Kaur’s tweet, Twitter went crazy. Check out some of the reactions:
