Surgical strike across Line of Control:  Based on a specific intelligence input that scores of terrorists were readying themselves to infiltrate into the Indian territory and carry out attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and other metros of the country, Indian Army conducted surgical strikes across the Line of Control in Kashmir and destroyed the terror launch pads on Wednesday. Reports said that whatever came in the way of the Indian Army were destroyed. Not only the terror camps were destroyed, several terrorists were also killed in the strike. Instead of helping India to wipe out terror camps, Pakistan reportedly sent its military to stop the Indians’ strike but ended up losing its two soldiers. How India Army conducted the surgical strikes across Line of Control in Pakistan

The entire operation was planned in advance and monitored throughout the night from New Delhi by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Army Chief General DS Suhag and other top officials from the Army headquarters in Delhi.

The Indian Armed forces were paradropped across the border to carry out surgical strikes against terror launch pads. The entire operation was a combination of heliborne and ground forces.

The operation by Indian Army’s Special Forces on terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir started at 12.30 am and lasted till 4.30 am. The Special Forces went up to 500 metres to 2 km across the border during the surgical strike. Sources also said that some Indian commandoes went up to three kilometres in the Pakistan-occupied region to conduct the surgical strikes.

During the strike, Indian forces destroyed seven terror launch pads in PoK. The Indian Army said that heavy casualties were inflicted on the terrorists. Sources said, not only the terror camps were destroyed, several terrorists were also killed.

TV reports said that about 35-40 terrorists and nine Pakistani soldiers were killed in the surgical strikes by Indian soldiers in Pakistan.

Reports said that the surgical strikes were carried out in Bhimber, Hotspring, Kel and Lipa sectors in PoK. During the operation, no Indian soldiers were injured or killed.
