A 23-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by the family of a girl with whom he was in a relationship in Khyala area of West Delhi, said police. The victim was identified as Ankit, who was a photographer and stayed with his family in Raghubir Nagar. According to an Indian Express report, there was an argument between Ankit and girl’s relative, after a while, the argument escalated and the accused stabbed Ankit. According to report, DCP (West) Vijay Singh said that three of the accused from the family were apprehended. The police have shifted the body of the deceased to a local hospital where his postmortem is underway. “The two of them were in a relationship for the past two years. The father of the girl knew about this. The girl is currently pursuing a distant education course and lives next to the house of the deceased,” said the report, quoting the official.

According to a report from Nyoooz.com, the incident happened at 9 pm on Thursday. The report said that Ankit was on his way towards home from work when he was attacked by his girlfriend’s parents, uncle, and brother. At a crossing, near Ankit’s home, they allegedly beat him before slashing him with a sharp weapon. Ankit’s mother reportedly saw the unfortunate incident as she ran out of her home on being alerted by people.
