Nayab Singh Saini Oath-Taking Ceremony Highlights: Nayab Singh Saini took over the reins of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) for a second consecutive term, in the presence of Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) top brass, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, among others. The swearing-in ceremony took place in Panchkula on Thursday, specially scheduled to be held on Valmiki Jayanti. The oath was administered to him by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. Along with Saini, 13 ministers, including Anil Vij and Shruti Chaudhary, were also sworn-in to the Cabinet.
On Wednesday, Nayab Singh Saini met Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and staked his claim to form the government after he was elected leader of the BJP legislature party at a meeting in Panchkula in the presence of Amit Shah and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. Alongside central BJP leaders, chief ministers of BJP-ruled states will also take part in the swearing-in ceremony.

BJP MLA from Tigaon, Rajesh Nagar Gurjar, was on Thursday sworn-in as a minister for the Haryana cabinet.
Arti Rao, the daughter of Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh and MLA from Ateli, was on Thursday sworn-in as a minister in the Haryana Cabinet.
Shruti Chaudhary, the granddaughter of former Chief Minister Bansi Lal and an MLA from the Tosham constituency, was on Thursday inducted as a minister in the Haryana cabinet. She was the first woman to be inducted today.

Union Minister Chirag Paswan, an ally with the BJP, arrived in Chandigarh to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Haryana CM-designate Nayab Singh Saini.
While talking to the media, he said, "This is a historic win. BJP has won for the third time in a row in Haryana under the leadership of my leader, our country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi...You will see the same results in Jharkhand and Maharashtra as well on 23rd November. After that, elections will be held in Delhi and Bihar, in that too NDA's victory is certain... Congress' revival is impossible."

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Nayab Singh Saini, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel arrives in Chandigarh.
Among the leading candidates, who are likely to get ministerial berths in the Haryana Cabinet are Anil Vij, Krishan Kumar Bedi, Rao Narbir Singh, Krishan Lal Panwar, Vipul Goel, Harvinder Kalyan, former Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwa, and former MP Arvind Sharma. Among the women frontrunners are Arti Rao, Shruti Choudhry, Krishna Gahlawat, and Independent MLA Savitri Jindal.
Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place for Nayab Singh Saini's swearing-in ceremony in Panchkula, which will be attended by PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other BJP leaders.
The mega event is also expected to draw a crowd of around 50,000 attendees. 14 large LED screens will be set up at the venue to allow spectators to view the event comfortably even from a distance. A traffic advisory has also been issued to manage the large turnout.
On the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti, Haryana designate-CM Nayab Singh Saini said, "Today is the Jayanti of Valmiki ji Maharaj, I extend my best wishes to the people of the country and the state...I would like to thank the people of Haryana from the bottom of my heart for putting their heart on the work done during the last 10 years of the tenure of BJP under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. "This historic day has come with the blessings of the people. Under the guidance of our PM, the swearing-in ceremony will take place, which will be a first and a historic event in Haryana's political history," said Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli, ahead of CM-designate Nayab Singh Saini’s swearing-in ceremony in Panchkula, which will be held at around 11 am on Thursday.
Nayab Singh Saini is an OBC face of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He had replaced Manohar Lal Khattar as the chief minister of Haryana earlier in March. His elevation from the Haryana BJP president to the chief minister in March came at a time when the party was facing anti-incumbency following the end of Khattar's tenure of nine-and-a-half years and attacks from a buoyant opposition on farmers' issues, unemployment, Agnipath scheme, inflation, and law and order.
The BJP's gamble to keep Saini as the CM face paid off with him leading the BJP to a stunning poll victory, defying exit poll predictions of a clean sweep for the Congress.
During the recently held Haryana Assembly elections, Saini won the Ladwa assembly seat in Kurukshetra district by a margin of 16,054 votes.

Ministers of Nayab Singh Saini's cabinet are also likely to be sworn in at the ceremony today. Haryana can have a maximum of 14 ministers, including the chief minister.
On the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, Haryana CM-designate Nayab Singh Saini offered prayers at Valmiki Temple in Panchkula ahead of the swearing-in ceremony.
While talking to the media, he said, "It is a matter of good fortune for me that today is the birth anniversary of Lord Valmiki. He worked to end the evils prevalent in the society and gave a message to the society. Today it is my good fortune that I have got the opportunity to worship at the feet of Lord Valmiki. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the people of the state on his birth anniversary."
