After the mayhem that marked July end, Gurugram is at it again. After facing one of the worst 12-hour jam due to monsoon lash, emergency measures were taken in, but the potholes are out again! After a heavy downpour in the Delhi NCR on Monday evening, the waterlogging is back.

While the downpour took the Delhites by surprise, the traffic jams and flooded roads didn’t. So much so that the guest of the city, US Secretary of State John Kerry was also not spared!

Kerry along with his convoy was welcomed in the capital with blocked roads and persistent showers. Delhi Police had to be called in to help Kerry and his team be taken out.

Travellers back from Office and Colleges in Delhi were struck at at intersections like Kashmere Gate, Dwarka, Dhaula Kuan, and the Moolchand flyover. Similiar was the condition of the NCR.

Gurugram, previously known as Gurgaon has become a commuter’s nightmare because of the poor road conditions after even minimal rains. The Gurgaon Police however took to social media this time, to alert commuters about the slow moving traffic early in the evening. Hero Honda Chowk, one of the biggest landmark of the millenium city is the worst affected, leading to hours of road blockage and leaving the city grid locked.
