After the incident, Lalu Yadav's son Tejashvi Yadav took to Twitter and slammed incumbent chief minister Nitish Kumar. In a series of tweets, Tejashwi attacked Nitish's government and said that the CM will not be able to stop him from doing "Nyan Yatra."
It was a lucky escape today for RJD MLA Upendra Paswan from Bakhri constituency when miscreants opened fire at his residence in Begusarai. In the incident, Paswan escaped unhurt while another person got injured, reports ANI. According to a report in Hindi news website Prabhat Khabar, the RJD MLA told that he was sitting outside his home when miscreants riding on a bike opened fire on him. He informed that one of his assistant who is a teacher was injured during the incident after a bullet struck him in the stomach. Presently, the assistant of MLA is being under medical care at a hospital. The police have refused to comment on the incident, said Paswan. The miscreants have managed to escape after the incident and the matter is under probe now.

Last year in December, RJD leader Hareram Yadav was shot dead by unidentified persons near Seehi roundabout under Hasanpur police station area. Another RJD leader was killed last year in August. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Ward Councillor Kedar Rai who was also a close aide of party supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, was shot dead in the wee hours in Danapur area of Patna. Commenting upon the killing of his party leader, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad to ANI, “There is involvement of some big names in this murder and its a conspiracy. It also includes some political figures.”
