Rupani said ''Every arrow released by Lord Ram was like a missile. What ISRO is doing now, Lord Ram used to do those things back then.''
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while addressing engineering students at their convocation ceremony at the Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management (IITRAM), an autonomous university run by the Government of Gujarat, compared arrows released by Lord Ram to rockets launched by ISRO. The Gujarat Chief Minister also credited the Hindu deity for building infrastructure and engaging in social engineering. Rupani said ”Every arrow released by Lord Ram was like a missile. What ISRO is doing now, Lord Ram used to do those things back then.” The Chief Minister said, ”Infrastructure can be linked to Lord Ram, just imagine the kind of engineers Lord Ram used to build a bridge from India to Sri Lanka. Even small animals like squirrels helped in the making of the bridge.” He went on to say that the remnants of Ram Setu are in the sea and engineers had built the temporary bridge.” The director of ISRO’s Space Applications Centre, Tapan Misra was also present when the Chief Minister gave his address, according to a Sunday Express report.
The Gujarat Chief Minister also said that medical research during the time of the Ramayan was also top-notch. Rupani said ”When Lord Lakshman was wounded in battle, the medical experts at the time knew which herb would cure him.” The Chief Minister said that there existed technology which could move entire mountains, ”When Lord Hanuman was unable to find the right herb, he came back with the entire mountain. This implies there was technology which could move mountains,” as per the Sunday Express.
The Gujarat Chief Minister also said that besides the engineering of weapons and infrastructure, Lord Ram also actively engaged in social engineering. He also added that PM Narendra Modi is trying to establish Ram Rajya, as per the report.
