A student based in Surat has successfully completed a thesis on Narendra Modi, both as Prime Minister of India as well Gujarat Chief Minister. The name of the student is Mehul Choksi, a ANI report said. The student bears the same name as the fugitive businessman who is wanted by agencies in India in loan default cases.

Having done his masters in political science, Choksi joined Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in Surat for higher studies. He submitted his thesis on the topic “Leadership under Government – Case Study of Narendra Modi.”

For his research work, Chosi formulated a survey and interviewed nearly 450 people from all sections of the society that included government officials, students, farmers, and political leaders from all parties posing questions on leadership ability of Prime Minister Modi.

“The questionnaire had a total of 32 questions. After tabulating the answers given by 450 people it was found that 25 per cent believed that Modi’s speeches are most appealing while 48 per cent were of the view that Modi’s political marketing is the best,” he was quoted as saying by ANI. Choksi got guidance from Nilesh Joshi of Arts Department, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.

Choksi began his PhD in 2010, when Narendra Modi was the CM of Gujarat. In his questionnaire, the initial phase focussed on Narendra Modi’s leadership, for which he received positive feedback from 51 percent. He also received negative response from 34.25 percent.
