According to the latest Twitter trend, India is a “Namak Haram Country”. Do not blame Twitter, though. All the trends do is show you what has been searched the most by people. So, maybe Google is to be blamed for such name-calling. Aye, if you type “Namak Haram ” country and tap search; India will pop up as one of the suggested results. The 1973 release stars Amitabh Bachchan, the late Rajesh Khanna and Rekha. So it would be rather surprising of India did not pop up in the suggested searches for “Namak Haram”. After all, the movie was a big hit throughout the decade.
Although, it is still unknown as to who the intelligent soul was to see the post first and decided to share it on social media. what can be taken away from this bizarre incidence of absolute ignorance, is the growing trend of people avoiding fact checking before leading wars on social media.
