Girl does Delhi proud with role in ISRO inking 104-satellite world record launch on PSLV rocket

The family of Jatinder Bhargav was showered praises after the residents of Khanna came to know about his daughter-in-law Shivani Bhargav's role in ISRO's record launch.

As with launch of record 104 satellites from the spaceport of Sriharikota of Andhra Pradesh, ISRO made India script its name in history, Khanna, a small town in Ludhiana also cherished in pride and joy as a Delhi girl and the daughter-in-law of a family in Khanna, was a part of the ISRO team that scripted history. The family of Jatinder Bhargav was showered praises after the residents of Khanna came to know about his daughter-in-law Shivani Bhargav’s role in ISRO’s record launch.

According to a report by Dainik Jagaran, thirty-one-year-old Shivani Bhargav, a resident of Rohini in Delhi, had joined ISRO seven years back. Her husband Ajay Bhargav is a hardware engineer.

Isro, which has already achieved extraordinary feats, has outdone itself and Russia which previously held the record for the most satellites launched in a single mission- which is 37 – in 2014. Last June, Isro had sent up 20 satellites in one go, its personal best. It is using the same rocket this time — the XL version of the popular Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), to push the boundaries of efficiency and effectiveness in space launches.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Isro for the “successful launch of PSLV-C37 and CARTOSAT satellite together with 103 nano satellites!”. “This remarkable feat by @isro is yet another proud moment for our space scientific community and the nation. India salutes our scientists,” PM Modi had tweeted.

The launch by Isro has amazed the world community and there were congratulatory messaged pouring in from all quarters.
