The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said that the sending of DNA samples by Janata Dal (United) was just showing the frustration of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
“Sending of DNA samples only shows the frustration of Nitish Kumar. DNA politically means ‘Development Nahi Aaya.’ If Nitish Kumar would have successfully brought in development in Bihar, then today he would have been speaking about development. He would not have been crying about a non-issue,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI.
The JD (U) workers on Friday would be sending around one lakh DNA samples to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his 7RCR residence to fulfill the promise made by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at the Swabhimaan Rally.
Earlier, in a befitting reply to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s DNA jibe, Nitish Kumar had earlier said that the people of his state will be sending samples of their hair and nails to the Prime Minister’s Office for a DNA analysis.
Addressing a massive Swabhimaan Rally in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, Kumar said, “He ( Narendra Modi) said my DNA is bad. Who am I? I am one of you. Today, people of Bihar are collecting samples of their hair and nails and from tomorrow they will be sending it to the Prime Minister’s Office for their DNA analysis. My DNA represents a Bihari.”
