Adityanath's asset value has shown an increase of almost 32 per cent during the last three years.
Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday filed his nomination papers for the UP Legislative Council bypolls. He is contesting the UP Legislative Council bypolls for which he had submitted the affidavit to the returning officer yesterday. The CM who carries a mobile phone worth Rs 12000, as reported by Dainik Jagran, however wears ear rings worth Rs 49,000 weighing 20 grams. According to the affidavit, the CM owns movable assets worth Rs 95.98 lakh. As per the report by PTI, Adityanath’s asset value has shown an increase of almost 32 per cent during the last three years. At present the value of his assets is Rs 95,98,053.41 as compared to Rs 72,17,674.14 that was in the year 2014, reported PTI.
Along with the gold earrings, he also has a gold chain with Rudraksh beads weighing 10 grams worth Rs 26,000. In his affidavit, five-time Gorakhpur MP has stated that the salary and other allowances received as Lok Sabha member were his only source of income. As per the report he also has a revolver and a rifle worth Rs 1 lakh and Rs 80,000, respectively.
Adityanath also declared that he owns two cars- a 2014 model Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Innova – which has a combine value of Rs 21.83 lakh, reported India.com. He has also shown five bank accounts in the affidavit.
The notification for by-polls was issued on August 29 while September 5 was the last date for filing nominations. The candidates can withdraw their candidature by September 8. Polling will be held on September 15 between 9 am and 4 pm. Counting of votes will be done on the same day at 5 pm. The poll process will be completed before September 18.
