If you thought actor Suriya’s Singham-3 is going to be the biggest thriller that hit the movie theaters this weekend, you are mistaken. Sasikala has just upped the game on what makes a thriller really take the nation for an exciting spin. Oh yes, the lady knows to grab eyeballs ! With over 30 SUVs racing down to a Golden Bay resort where ‘caged’ MLAs are paraded before her as tokens of loyalty, Sasikala pulled the hood over the nation’s eyes when she deftly played victim and told her MLAs that she is under threat because she is a woman and that Jayalalithaa had also been targeted because she had been a woman.
Even as Sasikala played musical chairs with her filmy dialogues, switching from victim to leader and vice versa, she made it clear that she will not be swayed by the mass support or the demonstrations that are pitching in favour of O Panneerselvam.
“We will stand united,” is also Sasikala’s way of telling her party cadres, “Don’t switch sides, no one can stake a claim over my right to rule.”

Meanwhile, Subramanian Swamy has added fuel to this political fire by coming out in support of Sasikala and stating that she should sue in Supreme Court if she is not invited to form the government by the Governor today.
Till the battle for Tamil Nadu is resolved, it looks like Sasikala will keep us glued to TV sets with her flair for filmy dialogues, racy SUVs and Amma-style green saree. And it looks like Chinnamma has just reinvented Singam style altogether – and in Tamil Nadu politics, there’s always more suspense, excitement and fireworks on the ground than on reel!
