An FIR was registered against Union Minister Giriraj Singh and 33 others in a land deal case on Thursday morning. The complaint was registered in the Danapur Police Station in which Giriraj Singh has been accused of forcibly grabbing 2 acres of land in Danapur. Reacting to this, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav demanded Giriraj Singh’s resignation and alleged that crores of cash was recovered from Giriraj Singh’s house, but he is still considered an honest person.

The RJD leader questioned senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi’s silence on the issue. “Inko turant resign karna chahiye.Naitikta ka dhol peetne waale ab kaunse bil mein chhupe hain? Sushil Modi ji moonh mein dahi jamaye baithe hain,” he said.

Attacking Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, Tejashwi Yadav took to Twitter and alleged that Giriraj Singh captured over 3 acres of land without JD (U) leader able to catch him. Yadav asked whether Nitish Kumar will end his coalition now! He also asked if Nitish Kumar will resign now!

MP from Nawada, Giriraj Singh is Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in PM Modi’s Cabinet.

Tejashwi Yadav also lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi by saying that on one hand, the Modi government talks about honesty and on the other hand, the ministers are capturing land instead of providing them to the poor.

Meanwhile, Lalu Prasad Yadav who is currently in jail, has constituted the party’s national executive, which includes eminent lawyer Ram Jethmalani, from the jail itself. Jethmalani is an RJD member of the Rajya Sabha from Bihar. However, the official press release by the party revealed that Lalu Yadav has omitted don-turned-politician Mohammad Shahbuddin. Lalu’s three children – Tej Pratap Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav and Misa Bharti – have also made it to the panel.
